Individual Sessions

I am currently accepting positions for individual tutoring sessions for the remainder of the summer and scheduling for the 2024-25 school year. I am offering the individual tutoring sessions for students both in-person or virtually. My fee is $70 per 1 hour session. I have taught and tutored each of the subjects listed below. Subjects: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II (all levels), Pre-Calculus (Regular & AP level), Statistics (regular, AP & college level), Finite Math (regular, dual credit M118 at IU & Ivy Tech) and Calculus (dual credit M119 at IU and AP)

Virtual Sessions: Since 2020, I have only hosted sessions through my personal Zoom account. When done correctly, these sessions are equally as beneficial as in-person sessions.

• I use a webcam, screen sharing and document camera. Through screen sharing I’m able to provide class handouts/resources/assignments, graphic visualizers and online calculators such as Desmos. With the document camera students can see me go through the steps to solve a problem similar to how they would in class with teachers using a document camera displayed on their projector screen.
• Students can meet from the comfort of their home without worrying about traveling to a remote location which requires extra time. In the winter, many families have appreciated not worrying about driving in inclement weather.
• Virtual sessions require students to talk through their work more than an in-person session since I cannot see the work on their end. This has resulted in improved communication and understanding from students because they are forced to think about what they are doing to be able to explain it to me.

In-Person Sessions: I plan to offer in-person sessions as it fits into my schedule on days before/after school at the Carmel-Clay Public Library.
