Matt Wernke

I currently teach mathematics at Carmel High School where I have taught since 2003. Prior to this, I taught 3 years at Northwest High School in Indianapolis. Over the years, I have taught every course from Pre-Algebra to Calculus, Finite and AP Statistics. I also taught several years at Indiana Online where I developed and led their Probability and Statistics course in addition to being an instructor in their Pre-Calculus course. Additionally, I have worked with students in several college level Finite and Statistics courses.

I have a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University in 2000 and an MS in Applied Statistics from IUPUI in 2010.

I am passionate about helping students understand mathematics and statistics so that they can be successful in their coursework and able to apply their knowledge to other subjects. My focus is on explaining concepts while working practice problems and answering student questions. I also provide students with suggestions about how to be more successful during class time.
